Privacy Policy

Hinterland Web is run by André Silva on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. This policy explains what personal information I collect, why, and what I do with it. I follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What I collect
- When you email me: your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell me about your business or project.
- When you become a client: the contact, billing and project details needed to do the work and invoice for it.
- When you visit the site: anonymous visit statistics (pages viewed, country, device type) through Vercel Analytics. It uses no cookies and does not identify you.
This site has no contact forms, no advertising trackers and no marketing cookies.
How I use it
- To reply to you and discuss your project.
- To deliver the work, send invoices and keep business records the law requires.
- To understand which pages are useful, so I can improve the site.
I don't sell or rent your information, and I don't add you to a mailing list without asking.
Who else sees it
I use a small number of service providers to run the business, such as email hosting, website hosting (Vercel), invoicing and accounting software. Some of them store data outside Australia. I only share what they need to provide their service. I may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
Enquiries are kept while we're talking and for a reasonable time after. Client and invoice records are kept for as long as Australian tax law requires (generally five years).
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information I hold about you. If you have a privacy concern, email me first and I'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
